Anand Villa
Anand Villa (meaning peace and bliss in ancient Sansrit) is a large, exclusive, elegant private villa set in an unspoilt tropical paradise with pool and landscaped gardens. The villa was purpose built for designer Jon Malone and family and occupies a glorious hillside location with spectacular views over lush tropical jungle, and sweetly perfumed cashew covered hillside.
The villa has been carefully decorated, taking inspiration from the local use of colour, to create tranquil and harmonious environment. The furniture and artworks have all been commissioned and made by local craftsmen and artists.
There is a fabulous master suite, three further double suites; one of these can become twin bedded on request, and one single suite. All the suites have kingsize beds (except the single which has a large single bed) and private facilities with hot water provided by solar heating. 9 guests can be easily accommodated; additional children can also be accommodated. There is a cot and high chair available if required. Anand has air conditioning.
Anand is versatile and is equally able to cater for families, special interest groups (for example: musicians, bird-watchers, kite-surfers, anglers, astronomers, paragliders), or just groups of friends wanting to enjoy the sunshine and many delights of Goa. .
Ground Floor
The black granite stairs at the entrance lead into the refreshingly cool main hall. This is a large 10metre long room with a sophisticated black granite dining table at one end and a comfortable, relaxed sitting area at the other end.
Leading off the dining area: The kitchen is decked in black granite and has all the main modern electrical appliances that might be required.
An ample supply of drinking water is provided by a three phase ultra-violet water filter which purifies spring water drawn from the newly built well.
Two of the bedroom suites are entered from the hall, one double with kingsize bed, and one large single, both with individual shower, hand-basin and lavatory facilities (hot water by solar power).
A sweeping black granite staircase takes you up to the second floor.
First Floor
The gardens and pool are accessed from this floor. There is a beautiful covered veranda surrounding the whole house at this level. It is traditional and very attractive and provides shade for the lower rooms making them a cool haven throughout the day.
The luxurious master suite boasts a kingsize four poster bed and opens directly out onto a private veranda with relaxing hammock seats and wonderful views. The veranda leads directly into the garden and pool area. The ensuite facilities include a shower and a bath (a complete luxury in this part of the world!)' heated by solar power.
Two further double bedroom suites are on the first floor also with their own ensuite facilities. Each with a shower, hand-basin and lavatory (heated by solar power).
Swimming Pool and Gardens
There is a superb large private swimming pool with mosaic glass tiles, with a small shallow pool attached surrounded by carefully landscaped gardens giving a peaceful and relaxed atmosphere.
Enjoy lounging around the pool, soaking up the sun or relaxing in a hammock in the shade. This secluded garden offers views across the unspoilt surrounding countryside and the spectacular beaches in the distance. The sound of the waves can be heard echoing around the villa to remind you that the beach is only just down the road!
Housekeeper
To ensure that your holiday is as relaxing as possible, a house keeper/maid will available to serve breakfast and clean the rooms on a daily basis. If you fancy staying one evening, why not have a chef come and cook for you at the house, or perhaps ring for a takeaway from one of the friendly local restaurants on the beach.
Taxi’s/Drivers
These are easily arranged and they are always willing to go out of their way to help you. Their cheap rates and friendly attitude ensure that you’ll want to use them on a daily basis!
Other Services
Foreign exchange and internet are also all easily available in the local village, only 300m from the villa.
